The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of the West Indies, located on its St. Augustine campus in Trinidad underwent an accreditation exercise of the UWI Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) programme by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP) from January 30 to February 4, 2009. This was carried out by a seven member team. Team members were:

7. Mr. Curtis Floyd (Observer - Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT))

CAAM-HP at its meeting on May 29-30, 2009 accorded Accreditation to the programme for the period 2009 to 2013.

CAAM-HP is the legally constituted body established in 2003 under the aegis of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), empowered to determine and prescribe standards and to accredit programmes of medical, dental, veterinary and other health professions education on behalf of the contracting parties in CARICOM.
