Launch of the Sustainable Development Network TT

RESULTS OF UWI SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UNIT (SEDU) COMMISSIONED STUDIES ON OIL AND GAS ECONOMIC IMPACTS TO BE PRESENTED AT SAT SEPT 20 CONFERENCE AT ENGINEERING LECTURE THEATRE ROOM 101 FROM 9 AM

‘A Guide to Monitoring the Management of the Oil and Gas Sector of Trinidad and Tobago will be one of three reports prepared by SEDU to be presented at a Conference on campus on Sat. Sept 20. This Guide was prepared by SEDU Coordinator Professor Dennis Pantin together with Economics Department Lecturer, Mr. Gregory McGuire and former SEDU Research assistant Dale James.There will be two other presentations by McGuire on the Heritage and Stabilisation Fund and by Pantin on planning for mega-projects.

This takes place at the formal launch of the Sustainable Development Network (SDN) coordinated by the Cropper Foundation. Other presentations will be made by Winston Rudder, Carol James and Trevor Boopsingh together with two presenters from the USA. The first will be by Mrs. Karin Lissakers, Director of the Revenue Watch Institute and the second a representative of an indigenous group in the USA.
